Have you been to the National Self Build & Renovation Centre?
You can now find CLPM at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre. This purpose built site has been built on such a scale to house all you will need to know about self building.
All of the things you expect to find are there, along with all the hidden extras like pilling, groundworks etc.
So much of the knowledge needed is unknown or littered with jargon. But here you can walk through exhibits that lay bare and contrast the various methods of building in exploded detail.
Exhibitions
The key thing that is most impressive at the Centre is that you can see, touch, smell and really appreciate the reality and practicality of sustainable building.
There are permanent full-size displays of almost anything to do with building. From cut-way foundation and drainage, through super-insulated walls right up to roof mounted solar hot water panels. You can also see a fully build timber frame home, along with a part built home which features in training courses.
The Professional Hub offers displays of architectural companies, along with gardeners, and health and safety experts. This is where you can find CLPM.
Courses
You can learn what you don’t know at any of the courses on offer. With such a full calendar of events, there is hardly a weekend free.

Eco workshops are very popular with such a focus on sustainability, and energy efficient homes.
