Home Energy Audit Process

Once we have greater understanding of your situation, we will carry out a detailed energy review of your home or premises.

This will involve looking at the precise way your property is constructed. We will assess the walls, floors and roof structures as well as your windows and doors. Our energy consultants will look at your property’s insulation levels, any areas where there might be issues with draughts and your building’s general state of repair.

The orientation and location of your property will also have an impact on its energy usage, as wells as its heating, hot water and lighting arrangements. We’ll make a full assessment of your home and use all of this information to make calculations on the current U values and performance of your building’s structure and systems.

Home Energy Audit Report

We take a scientific, fabric-first approach using energy modelling tools to help us calculate the effect investing in different levels of insulation or window specifications will have on your property’s energy performance.

Your CLPM Home Energy Audit report will be written in a clear, easy to understand way and will explain exactly how you can make changes to improve the energy efficiency of your property’s fabric and infrastructure.

If you’re planning to refurbish or make other improvements to your home, our recommendations can be written so that they are integrated into your plans. Should you need ongoing assistance and support our team are happy to help.

Energy Audit Additional Options

We can provide As Designed SAP Calculations. Using your architects plans we can help you to ensure you are compliant with Part L of building Regs. As built SAP calculations can also be provided on completion of the build where an On Construction EPC (OCEPC) can be produced. This will be needed for building sign off and for a property to be sold.

We can also provide U-Value Calculations for Walls, Roofs, and Floors in order to ensure compliance with Part L of building regulations.

Thermal Imaging can be added on to a site survey. This can provide useful information for anyone wishing to pinpoint specific problem areas. NOTE This is dependent on a temperature differential of 10 Degrees Celsius between the internal and external temperature.
