Our Energy Consultants can offer a range of services to follow on from the site survey and report. These are designed to help you realise your plans.

You can choose from our range of energy efficiency additional services. Our team will advise on which ones are suitable for your project, or we can accommodate them all.

As well as producing a schedule of works, budget and tendering works and overseeing installation on site, we can also provide Retrofitting advice, Thermal Imaging, SAP Calculations and EPC Ratings.

Schedule of Works

Following a survey of your property, CLPM can produce a Schedule of Works.

This can be for any heating, plumbing or energy improvement works. This will ensure that trades people or installers approached to quote for the works will have a clear brief to price against.

This means you will get ‘like for like’ costings and the chosen contractor will understand exactly what works are to be carried out.

Budget and Tendering Works

CLPM can produce a budget for your heating or energy works. Any upgrade is likely to impact on other areas of your home. We can just cost your heating or energy project. Or should you require a high-level estimate of costs for a fuller refurbishment project, our team can provide this.

Ensuring that you get the right installers or trades people for your project is imperative. To support you in this process our QS team can assist by identifying contractors, running the tender process and ensure that the correct contract is put in place. If this service is of interest, we will provide a bespoke quote.

Overseeing works on site

The theory of improvements is one thing. But the success of the project also depends on the quality of the installation.

As an example, we find that many small builders do not quite understand how to deliver a system in a way that ensures performance in accordance with design.

We can provide supervision of key events to help deliver a successful project. This would include an initial meeting with your builder to explain the technical elements of your project and advice on how to deliver it. We will then carry out inspections during the build to check the works. We are happy to discuss any of our energy efficiency additional services you may require.

SAP Calculations & EPC Ratings

CLPM can assist you with SAP Calculations and EPC Ratings. Our team can provide EPC certificates.

SAP or ‘Standard Assessment Procedure’ calculations are critical to meet Building Regulations requirements.

SAP refers to the process of calculating the energy performance of buildings and homes. This predicted energy assessment will be used to help calculate an EPC rating once the property has been built.

SAP calculations are a government requirement under Building Regulations part L and are based on drawings, architect plans and specifications of a property. These calculations will determine your SAP Rating. The higher the SAP rating, the lower the fuel costs and the lower the associated emissions of carbon dioxide.

Although a SAP rating is typically only needed for new builds or developments, there are some cases where you may need to get SAP calculations done when having an extension or a conversion. Our consultants can advise you on your specific needs.
