We’ve just been appointed to give a sustainability review on an old stone built Scottish croft dating from the 1820’s so it’s a challenge!
We were recommended to them by previous clients we helped last year when we did their sustainability review on their farmhouse near Devises.
The croft or cottage is right up in the far north of Scotland, on the coast and so in a very exposed position. The clients are planning to add an extension and carry out a full refurbishment.
They are asking our advice on the best way to insulate the property, how they should heat it and also what grants are available to them.
