Home Energy Audit Process

Once we have greater understanding of your situation, we will then carry out a detailed energy review of your home or premises. This will involve looking at the precise way your property is constructed.

We will assess the walls, floors and roof structures as well as your windows and doors. Our energy consultants will look at your property’s insulation levels, any areas where there might be issues with draughts and your building’s general state of repair.

The orientation and location of your property will also have an impact on its energy usage, as wells as its heating, hot water and lighting arrangements. We’ll make a full assessment of your home and use all of this information to make calculations on the current U values and performance of your building’s structure and systems.

Energy Audit Report Contents

We take a scientific, fabric-first approach – using energy modelling tools to help us calculate the effect investing in different levels of insulation or window specifications will have on your property’s energy performance.

Your energy audit report will be written in a clear, easy to understand way and will explain exactly how you can make changes to improve the energy efficiency of your property’s fabric and infrastructure.

If you’re planning to refurbish or make other improvements to your home, our recommendations can be written so that they are integrated into your plans. Should you need ongoing help and support to implement our recommendations our energy consultants can help brief and organise your build team too.
