We have just been appointed to support our new clients who have recently gained planning permission to extend and refurbish their 2 storey apartment in the Craven Hill area of Bayswater. The apartment, which is on the ground and lower ground floors of a grand 18th century period property, will be extended to the side to form a new sitting room plus a new shower room with cloakroom on the ground floor.
We were recommended to our new clients by their architects, NEU Architects, of Poyser Street, in Bethnal Green. We are currently working with NEU Architects and providing property refurbishment project management support on another building project in Stockwell.
So far our Quantity Surveying team have mainly helped our clients with construction cost estimating services, having gone through their architectural plans to check the affordability of the designs, versus the money they want to spend. This budget is now being used to use as a benchmark for the next stage, which is competitive tendering.
We are currently in the design review and planning stages, but will be carrying out a competitive tender for our clients once party wall and landlord agreements are in place, and the building regulations drawings are complete. We shall then manage contractor appointment documentation, and visit the site on a twice monthly basis and project manage the building works in the role of Contract Administrator.
