It’s Time to Tackle Your Heating or Energy Issues
There are many reasons you may seek us out.
Are you looking to replace your current system. Perhaps you have a renovation project in progress. Or are you keen to help the UK meet the net zero targets for 2050. Has this kicked off a passion, and you want to install green renewable technologies and don’t know where to start?
Or simply, have you found you have turned up the thermostat on your central heating system over the winter. You may also have unfortunately discovered that your heating systems is not as effective as it needs to be.
What ever your issue or aim, you’re not alone. We are hearing from lots of homeowners with heating issues who are keen to benefit from our heating advice and resolve the problems they are experiencing.
Heating Advice Face to Face or Online
Typically our consultants would visit a property to make their assessment, this is still our preferred way to work. However, covid gave us the prompt to make more of our technology. With your support we can now carry out surveys over a videocall.
This means that CLPM can still give you all the help and support you need to tackle your home heating or energy efficiency problems – without ever having to visit you, or your home.
Our home heating experts can carry out almost all of our work – including heating surveys – remotely, via our Virtual Heating Advice Service.
How does our Online Heating & Energy Advice Service Work?
Our Online Heating & Energy Advice Service involves our using digital and video technologies – such as Zoom, Facetime or Skype – to talk with you and ‘see’ your home.
Our consultants will ask you to show them particular points of your property, so if you are comfortable with technology – great.
There is no need to meet with you physically, and our home heating expert can help you whatever your location across the UK.
Step 1 : The Review – On site or Online
Every client’s needs, and property is unique. So we always take time to fully understand your individual situation.
We’ll therefore start by meeting with you either at your property or virtually using whichever technology you are comfortable with. During this time our home heating expert will discuss the issues you are experiencing in greater detail. They will aim to understand your priorities, your budget and what you wish to achieve.
We will ask you to show our expert around your property and heating system using your smartphone or tablet if virtually. We will also typically ask to see plans or drawings. Or we may ask you to give us some more specific technical information and some site photographs if online.
Once this information has been captured, we can then review it before we discuss our findings. We will then outline the choice of improvement options which suit your needs, and your property.
Step 2 : The Report
Once the review stage is complete, we will issue a written report. This will bring together all the points into one document for you. This report can then be used as a basis of a brief for the future works you decide to carry out on your home by your heating engineer, or build team.

Budget and Tendering
CLPM can produce a budget for your heating or energy works. Any upgrade is likely to impact on other areas of your home. We can just cost your heating or energy project. But, should you require a high-level estimate of costs for a fuller refurbishment project, our team can provide this as well. We can also tender for the works. Once the shopping list is complete, and the budget agreed, we can offer a list of potential companies to carry this out. We have worked with a number of incredible people over the years, and we are happy to share that knowledge.
Overseeing the Work
We can also oversee the work. We find that often the success of a project depends on the quality of the installation. A question we are always asked is ‘how will I know if the system is put in correctly?’ – this is where we can help.
