CLPM are pleased to report that we have just been appointed to give construction project management and cost advice support in Bedfordshire for the refurbishment of a bungalow near Leighton Buzzard. The client, who has supported needs, is carrying out improvements to his new home which include a small extension. The disability adaptations will allow him to live independently, but close to his family who live in the Bedford area.
As a medium-sized construction project management company, CLPM work with a wide range of different clients with different needs and project types. We have therefore worked on a number of projects of this nature in the past, where the specifications of the design relate not only to structural or cosmetic refurbishment, but also to the specific medical, physical and practical needs of older clients or those with disabilities.
This particular project in Leighton Buzzard includes an extension and remodeling works. The architectural plans include creating carer’s accommodation, alterations to elements such as widening doorways and creating a level access to the garden, This is another adaptive project where we have worked with Hemel Hempstead based architectural designers Aubrey Technical Services, Occupational Therapist Anava Baruch of Design for Independence, and specialist catastrophic personal injury solicitors Osborne Morris and Morgan.

We have been involved in the project from the initial pre-planning application design stages. We have therefore already helped our clients to check their build budget by providing construction cost estimates, and have now been appointed to carry out a competitive tender, and to appoint the building team. Once onsite we will be project managing this Bedfordshire construction project in the role of Contract Administrator.
