A leading construction project management consultancy for London, CLPM has recently added a new, additional member to its London building project management team.
Bobby Darragh has worked in high-end residential and small-scale commercial construction project management in London for many years and will focus on supporting our clients who are renovating or extending their properties in South London and South West London. He joins our other London-based building project manager Alistair Stewart – who has now been with CLPM for almost 8 years – and together they will be helping CLPM’s client base of home owners, property developers and small business across the Greater London area.

Bobby’s appointment comes as a result of CLPM experiencing a higher level of enquiries from homeowners across London – all of whom are planning to extend or improve their homes. The renovation market is still buoyant in London, and this is particularly true for properties in London’s leafier suburbs such as Putney, Richmond, Blackheath and Barnes.
Over the last few years, and most particularly over the recent lockdown, many people have been thinking more deeply about how, and where they work and live. Homes have long been working-spaces for the self-employed, but now many normally office-based employees have realised the benefits of home working too. Not only is avoiding a long and tedious commute more time effective, it also enables a better work-life balance and nurtures an increased interest in the home and the surrounding community.
This is pattern was born out by a survey of surveyors and estate agents from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) last month. In it they reported that the vast majority of respondents (81%) said that homes with gardens or balconies would be in demand over the next two years – along with houses near green spaces. Likewise Rightmove, the property website, has reported a significant rise in the number of people searching for homes with larger gardens and space for a home office.
One of Bobby’s current building projects is for a typical property of this type – in the ever-popular area of Richmond. This 6 bedroomed mid-Victorian semi has a wealth of character. Arranged over four floors it has plenty of quiet space for reflection or home-working and a beautiful private garden. Bobby is currently helping our clients organise their renovation works, which include a full strip out and redecoration as well as some structural works and a lower ground extension to provide additional kitchen and entertaining space.
