Building Regulations are Changing in England
On the 20th Dec 2012 the Government announced key changes to the Building Regulation ensuring clearer and concise documents.
New approved Documents are:
- Approved Document K – Protection from falling, collision and impact. 2013 edition (for use in England) takes effect 6th April 2013
- Approved Document P – Electrical safety – Dwellings 2013 edition (for use in England) takes effect 6th April 2013
- Approved Document 7 – Materials and workmanship to support Regulation 7. 2013 edition (for use in England) takes effect 1st July 2013
Significant changes have been made to:
- Approved Document M – Access to and use of buildings. 2004 edition incorporating 2010 and 2012 amendments
- Approved Document B – Fire Safety, Volume 1 Dwellinghouses. 2006 edition incorporating 2010 and 2013 amendments
- Approved Document B – Fire Safety, Volume 2 Buildings other than Dwelling houses. 2006 edition incorporating on 2010 and 2013 amendments
