Design Reviews
Having an independent third-party check through all your design information in the pre-construction phase is a really good idea.
Our team can check your design plans for any omissions, errors, inconsistencies, complications, and cost opportunities. All of which will save time and money in the long run.
The team here at CLPM have an expertise in construction methodology, costs, energy performance and heating. So, getting us involved in the design review stage will enable you to enhance and future-proof your designs.
Having an impartial expert check and query the detail or suggest areas to save money is an important stage to complete before you start to talk to builders.
What our clients have said!
I am extremely happy with everything that CLPM did for me. My Project Manager, was excellent and I am very pleased with the house. It is fantastic and has only had a few teething problems, which I think is credit to the quality of the workmanship and level of organisation put into the build process.
Schedule of Works
A Schedule of Works forms part of the contract and lists the works required for a building project. It’s a bit like a shopping list.
They are often produced alongside drawings by an architect in addition to specifications and preliminaries (site management requirements).
They are likely to form part of the tender documentation and then contract documents for your building project.
If you are carrying out alteration works or a smaller refurbishment and have not worked with a designer, then our project management team can create a Schedule of Works for you.
This can then be used as an instructional list for builders to price against.
The more thorough the Schedule of Works, the more accurate the tender returns will be from the contractors.
What have our clients said!
“Thanks so much for your services on this project. Our PM and the rest of the team have been a huge help during the process and I’m absolutely sure the reason it’s been a relatively pain free experience is because I had experts like yourselves in place doing what you do best.”
Programmes
Project start and end dates are a key part of a building contract. But you also need to know what’s happening in-between.
As a client you need to control the length of your build. Any delays will lead to extra costs for you – such as storage costs or rental if you need to move out of your home. And the last thing you want if your builder disappearing on another job halfway through the build.
A detailed, realistic programme with key milestones is a very useful document as it will help you to assess the progress of the works.
CLPM can prepare a programme for your project. Having this information will help prevent delays as it will enable you to make sure that everything is on site when required – and will create a meaningful reference point for discussion with your build team.
