CLPM provide Building Project Management in Watford, Radlett, Northwood, Abbots Langley and Rickmansworth, as well as the surrounding areas.
We have recently been appointed to support our clients who are building a new home in Bushey, near Watford. Lucy Nylander, CLPM’s Herfordshire Project Manager will be looking after this project.
Our clients currently live in Oxfordshire, and their architect, Allister Godfrey BA(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA of Allister Godfrey Architects of Wantage, contacted us to see if we could help support the project in Hertfordshire. We had worked with Allister previously when he was an architect at Anderson Orr in Oxford.
The project involves the demolition of an existing building on the building plot, which in turn requires that a full soil investigation is carried out to ensure the drainage conditions are as required. We are currently working alongside the architect and structural engineers to organise these investigations for the client and to enable the demolition to proceed prior to Christmas.
Once demolition is complete, construction of the new house will begin. The new build project involves the construction of a detached, 2 storey 5 bedroom dwelling with accommodation in the roof space, and includes parking, landscaping and amenity space.
We will be helping our clients to find a suitable builder by carrying out a competitive tender and then setting up the building contracts. Once a contractor has been appointed we will then support our clients by project managing the works in the role of Contract Administrator.
