Why Self Build, Extend or Renovate in Surrey?
Popular with celebs from Sir David Attenborough to Peter Andre, Surrey’s 650 square miles are the most wooded in England. The scenic landscape also boasts a great diversity in its natural watercourses – from trickling streams, to meandering rivers and canals, to waterfalls and vast estuaries.
Surrey is now home to over 1.2 million people. For many, living in Surrey is ideal, as it provides an ideal balance of having the benefit of a rural town or village setting whilst being a short 30-40 minutes journey time to the City. With so many lovely places being within an easy commute to the capital, it’s no surprise that house prices in Surrey are some of the highest in the UK, outside London.
You can expect to pay £5333 per m2 for a house in Ewell or Epsom and an eye-watering £6115 per m2 for a home in Elmbridge.
Even the most up-market home extensions cost a fraction of this amount to build, so most Surrey residents have rightly worked out that rather than move, it simply makes good financial sense to stay put and build!
Little wonder we’re always so busy helping clients with their building projects in Surrey.
