Energy Efficiency Advice for your Home or Premises
CLPM provide sustainability and energy consultancy services for residential and commercial clients across the UK.
Building a new house? Planning to make some home improvements or to renovate or extend your premises? This is the best time to boost the energy efficiency of your property.
CLPM can help you make your building more energy efficient. Often the most minor energy-saving improvements can make your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, while dramatically cutting your running costs.
Important Update: Coronavirus Covid-19
CLPM are continually monitoring the guidelines and advice provided by the UK Government and Public Health England and are committed to making the right decisions for the wellbeing of both our clients and our staff.
Our sustainability advice team are therefore social distancing, but continue to work from home. It is possible to carry out almost all of our work remotely, so we hope this will only have a very limited impact on our service to you.
Why Carry Out an energy audit?
The aim of your energy audit or home energy check is to help you establish the best way to improve the comfort and energy performance of your property.
We start by talking with you to understand your concerns and needs, before we then carry out a detailed energy review of your home or premises.
For existing buildings we will look at the precise way your property is constructed, its orientation and location and its heating system. We’ll then use this information to make calculations on the performance of your existing building structure and systems.
If you’re planning to renovate or extend your property, or to build a brand new home, your energy review will use your architectural plans and specifications.
The results of this energy audit will be discussed with you, and we will explain exactly how you can make changes to improve the energy efficiency of your property.
Why Choose CLPM?
There are many companies offering energy consultancy, but we believe our personal, client-focused holistic approach sets us apart.
Our energy audits are completely bespoke.
Our recommendations will always be focused on your brief, including your concerns and the way you live in, or use your property. This information will be used to suggest how you can make improvements to the building itself, and to amend or update your heating or ventilation systems.
We care passionately about the environment, but we are always pragmatic in our advice. Throughout the energy audit process our aim is to help you improve or build your property in a way that makes the most financial sense for you.
We also aim to be clear in the way we present our energy audit findings. Our energy audit recommendations will be simply and clearly explained to you by our experts, and presented in a report which you can then use to help brief your architect or build team.
Practical, Impartial Energy Efficiency Solutions
What makes the CLPM energy consultancy team most unique is the combination of over 25 years’ experience in giving energy efficiency advice, with an in-depth knowledge of the practicalities of major construction works.
The energy efficiency advice you’ll receive is also 100% independent. Unlike many other energy consultancy firms we don’t supply or install and don’t take any commission. So you can trust us to always put you first, and look after your best interests.

Our sustainability consultants can support you whatever the nature of your property.
If you own an older property, we can help you make your property more comfortable and reduce your fuel bills. We can give you advice on insulating and draught-proofing and can help you decide on how best to update your heating system.
If you are planning to extend or renovate your property we can work with you and your architect, builder, or timber frame supplier, to help you to improve the energy efficiency of your finished home.
We also provide energy advice for new homes constructed via traditional brick and block as well as timber frames, structurally insulated panels, insulated concrete formwork systems, straw bales etc. Our energy efficiency experts can advise on all elements of the build, including insulation, air-tightness and mechanical ventilation systems, and have worked on eco-homes up to Passiv Haus standards.

We can give you detailed information on the costs and benefits of photovoltaic arrays, solar hot water and wind turbines, as well as air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, and biofuel or biomass boilers.
