The CLPM Energy Efficiency Consultancy team can work with you whatever your situation. We regularly work with architects, homeowners and business owners as well as religious and community groups and charitable organisations helping to create energy efficient homes and properties.
We’re experts in the latest renewable heating and energy systems such as heat pumps and solar photovoltaic panels. Our aim is to help you build or improve your property in a smarter and more sustainable way. We will enable you to future-proof your home or premises, reduce your ongoing running costs and cut your carbon emissions.
We at CLPM have a company policy to assist clients to improve the energy efficiency of their homes as energy efficient homes also tend to be comfortable. There are multiple ways to do this, but we focus on a fabric first approach. This means that we look at ways of reducing energy usage by improving insulation and improving air-tightness to reduce draughts.
Most of the energy required for a property is through the heating, and the total ‘peak’ heat load used to design the heating system is dependent on 5 main points.
- The size of the building.
- The temperature of the building.
- The insulation levels.
- The draughtiness.
- The control system.
The first two points are fairly well set, but we are able to adjust the final three points.
