Double Storey Extension Project Manager, Surrey
double storey extension project manager
Planning a double storey extension? Wondering if you need a project manager?
The answer depends on the size and nature of the project, your previous experience, the time you have to direct the project yourself and how long you can stand living in a building site if the progress is slow! Generally speaking, if you’re planning to spend more than £120-150,000 on your double storey extension project it’s well worth talking to us! We’ll be able to save you time, money and a lot of avoidable stress and in most cases the savings made will more than pay for the project management fees.
Our Surrey based clients had decided to completely refurbish and add a double storey extension to their home and initially approached us with some informal drawings they had sketched out. We gave them some initial help, checking their ideas were both practical and affordable.
We then helped them to find a suitable architect to help work their ideas into more definite plans and develop a firmer idea as to what the double storey extension might cost them to build. We then continued to support them through the planning stage and then, once their application had been approved, managed the tender process for them, helping them to appoint a builder to carry out the project.
The house was completely transformed with a new layout with new bathrooms, kitchen, doors and fitted cupboards as well as a complete redecoration throughout and the outside space was tidied up too. CLPM project managed the build, checking the invoices for payment and ensuring that the build went according to plan.
