Why Self Build, Extend or Renovate in Buckinghamshire?
The 600 square miles of Buckingham are home to some 750,00 people. With the beautiful scenery of the Chilterns for walking, some lovely villages with stunning period properties and fast transport links into London, it’s not surprising that Buckingham boasts three of out the ten most expensive towns to live in the UK – namely the commuter hotspots of Beaconsfield, Gerrard’s Cross and Chalfont St Giles.
Buckinghamshire is reported to have the highest GDP per capita outside Inner London, as well as the highest quality of life, the highest life expectancy and the best education results in the country.
You can expect to pay £4892/m2 for a home in the Chilterns and £5418/m2 for a cottage in South Buckinghamshire. Competition for homes this close to the capital is fierce, and so it’s not very surprising that many Buckinghamshire residents choose to extend, renovate or self-build rather than move. After-all even the most architecturally adventurous home extensions or new builds cost a fraction of this amount to build!
CLPM have helped a large number of clients in Buckinghamshire to extend and renovate their homes and we can help you too. If you’re interested in hearing more do get in touch.
