The Big Green Home Show is returning to The National Self Build & Renovation Centre for its fifth year this October.
A massive three day show from 25-27 October 2013, the Show attracts self-builders, renovators and home-owners looking to either build using sustainable materials or introduce renewable energy systems to save money on utility bills. A packed programme of live demonstrations, seminars, walking tours and expert advice together with over 200 exhibitors in the Trade Village make the Show a unique ‘one-stop-shop’ for eco-living.
As part of The Big Green Home Show consumer offering I, Charlie Laing, am taking part in a series of Panel Sessions conducted to inform and inspire self-builders and renovators, demystify the jargon surrounding eco-living and discuss new issues, products and government initiatives.
I’ll be joined by Simon Orrells – Structural Timber Association, Andrew Edwards – Revolution Homes, Craig Strachen – NaSBA and Jonathan Barnet from Logix.
Why don’t you come along and get involved? Each session will be a lively and stimulating debate from the panellist and they’ll be chaired by resident eco-expert Dave Hilton with each one lasting about 45 minutes.
Anecdotes and examples of projects are encouraged!
The Topic: Fabric First
(A phrase that is often bandied about but, what does it really mean? Discussing why integrating sustainable building methods into the fabric of your build is essential and should not be an after-thought…)
Date: Friday 25th October 2013
Time: 11.15am
Venue: Main Lecture Theatre
