I attended a charity fundraiser for Acorns Children’s Hospice last week and it was wonderful to know that we contributed to such a worthy cause.
This registered charity offers a network of care for children with limited life or life threatened children and youngsters. It was established in 1988 to help them and their families cope with the specialist care they require and give them a chance to lead a more normal life in terms of support services for the whole family.
They offer the parents breaks from caring as well as tailored nursing and end of life care at the three hospices they have in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester.
I was invited to the Worcester based fund raiser by Charles Rodway of Stock ‘n Lock Storage as he supports this charity.
It was a good evening for everyone and I was proud to be part of such a worthy cause. What really pleased me was getting this photo and a lovely note from Charles that reads:
Thank you so much for coming last Friday. You were incredibly generous – you were one of two major donors that night and I am ever so grateful for you not only supporting the cause but also for supporting me too. Charles
If you have any thoughts about supporting a charity this year can I ask that you’ll consider this one? Thanks!
