2012 is the year of the Queens Jubilee and the British Olympics. We’ve got a lot to celebrate and what better way to show it than in our homes!
British inspired home grown design is finding its way into the best this Summer and we’ve had a hand project managing a few in advance!
British doesn’t have to be in your face but it must be bold! The clean lines of this loft conversion was perfect for that bright red sofa and what could be more perfect to mix it with than ‘Twiggy’ and the Union Jack?
In a majority of the projects like home extensions and new builds that we manage, we’ve noticed a trend toward larger spaces, wooden flooring, cooler wall colours with more vibrant furnishings and finding eco solutions to heating and cooling. Times are definitely changing.
We loved this stone floor brightened up with a great Union Jack rug which lends warmth and practicality to the room, is easy to wash and provides a great warm patch for the pooch to enjoy!
Brit is back! Watch out for some of the fabulous Back to British trends in stores this Summer like the dogs bed pillow above (to stop him lying on the rug!)
