We are very pleased to confirm that Planning Permission has just been granted by West Wiltshire Council for a Project in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. A big thank you to the team involved in achieving it:
Planning advice, the submission of the application and liaison with the Local Authority was provided by Bristol Based Planning Consultants GL Hearn under the guidance of Chris Beaver. The service provided to the client was excellent and enabled relative peace of mind and reassurance through what would otherwise have been a very stressful process. In this case both sets of neighbours raised surprising levels of objection and fully exercised their rights to represent this to the Local Authority. Chris and his team responded to this very promptly and efficiently and ensured that the merits of the scheme and the legitimate planning issues were conveyed to the officer.
The architectural design was produced by Nigel Bedford of Atelier 17, a Bradford on Avon based architectural practice. The design includes an extension to the front of a terraced period cottage and as such a complex set of issues needed to be considered. As well as being very pleased with the ultimate design, the clients were very pleased with the prompt turn around and the friendly and flexible service. The Wiltshire Planning Officer in her report also highlighted the fact that the design was well thought out, would not have significant detrimental impact on the amenity of the adjoining neighbours or surrounding properties, will have a beneficial impact on the context and character of the surrounding area and enhance the special character and appearance of the adjacent conservation area.
Thank you very much Chris and Nigel and your respective teams. A good job done and we look forward to working with you again in the future.
