We’re building project cost estimating experts and can prepare a precise, initial budget for your client’s building plans. Build costs are notoriously difficult to calculate and are often over simplified and then underestimated. We can give your clients the peace of mind that their plans and proposed figures are realistic.
We also understand it’s important to prevent your clients having to borrow more money if the budget starts spiralling. Building in the correct amount of contingency fund for a building project is important. Getting the “what if…” part of the budget right is critical. Our experience will allow your client to accurately prepare for any ‘worst case’ scenarios.
Outside of the property purchase, the renovation or extension works are possibly the largest financial investment your client will make. We can ensure that they approach the building project element of their investment as wisely as they have the initial purchase.
We can guide them through the process. By working from them from the outset, we can help them find and effectively brief a suitable designer or architect to ensure professional fees are kept to a minimum. We can give them cost advice on their designs and ensure they only design what they can afford within the monies they wish to spend. Once planning is achieved we can then work up a full specification and set a budget for the works. We can then advise on sourcing materials at competitive prices, find the best build team by carrying out a robust, competitive tender process and set up the necessary contracts.
Once the building works have started the progress and quality need to be closely and consistently monitored. Generally, overrun means overspend. Your clients’ interests are our sole priority. In our role as property development project management for the project we’ll be on site to manage the relationship with the builder, provide expert advice about build options and report regularly on progress to ensure everything proceeds well for your client.
